What the Job Looks Like
As our Lead Program and Compliance Manager, you’ll spearhead programs aimed at ensuring compliance with drinking water and wastewater regulations, with a particular focus on the Lead and Copper Rule (LCRR/I). Your leadership will guide our efforts in maintaining and improving water quality standards, and your expertise will play a critical role in shaping our approach to regulatory compliance. Day-to-day will include:
As our Lead Program and Compliance Manager, you’ll spearhead programs aimed at ensuring compliance with drinking water and wastewater regulations, with a particular focus on the Lead and Copper Rule (LCRR/I). Your leadership will guide our efforts in maintaining and improving water quality standards, and your expertise will play a critical role in shaping our approach to regulatory compliance. Day-to-day will include:
- Program Management
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and roll out effective strategies and standard operating procedures for LCRR/I and other compliance activities, aligning these with state and federal standards
- Project Coordination: Lead and manage key programs, ensuring milestones are hit and projects stay on track, collaborating with internal teams and external partners to keep everything running smoothly
- Team Training: Create and deliver training programs to keep staff updated on compliance requirements and best practices
- Regulatory Compliance
- Adhering to Standards: Ensure LCA meets all federal, state, and local water and wastewater regulations, driving compliance with the EPA’s LCRR/I, managing LSL inventories, monitoring requirements, replacement plans, and corrosion control
- Data Analysis and Management
- Data Oversight: Supervise data collection for water and wastewater operations, ensuring accuracy and regulatory alignment
- Insight Generation: Analyze data to track compliance, evaluate program success, and pinpoint areas for improvement, using insights to drive operational enhancements
- Reporting: Prepare and review detailed reports on compliance and program performance, ensuring timely and accurate regulatory reporting
- Public Engagement
- Outreach: Lead efforts to educate the public about lead and water quality. Create and share materials, give presentations, and handle inquiries with clarity and accuracy
What We’re Looking For

- Experience: 5+ yrs. in water compliance management role, project management experience preferred
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, environmental science, or chemistry is preferred
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and Project Management software required (Procore preferred)
