BIGLERVILLE BOROUGH AND AUTHORITY – FULL-TIME WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT OPERATOR

The Biglerville Borough and Authority are accepting applications for a full-time wastewater treatment plant operator. The position will assist in all phases and related duties to ensure the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of our wastewater treatment plant. Applicants must hold at least a wastewater-certified PA Class B, Subclass 1-4 Operator license. The ability and desire to obtain the operator’s license PA Department of Environmental Protection Class E or higher water license, would also be beneficial. Responsibilities include operating, monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting wastewater and water facilities, pumping stations, and wells, with work performed independently. The applicant should possess a valid PA driver’s license; computer skills with knowledge of Word and Excel, with the ability to learn internal software programs. Applicants must also possess the ability to lift and carry 50 pounds, perform work in all weather conditions, provide stable employment, attendance, and pass a complete background investigation (including references, employment, criminal, driving, and pre-employment drug screening test). The position offers a 40-hour workweek, Monday through Friday, with some after-hours callouts and rotating weekends and holidays. We offer a competitive wage, benefits, and retirement package.
