Executive Director Position

The East Norriton-Plymouth-Whitpain Joint Sewer Authority seeks an experienced professional to manage all activities related to Authority operations. The current executive director is retiring after over 18 years with ENPWJSA. The successful candidate performs and develops a wide variety of policy, managerial, and organizational tasks related to maintaining the productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness of the Authority’s 9 MGD treatment facilities.

The Executive Director reports to a 9 member Board and oversees daily business and treatment operations of the 18-employee authority and supervises management personnel. They must be self-motivated, use sound judgment, and be an excellent communicator and team builder.

The ideal candidate must have a minimum of five years progressively responsible civil engineering or public works management experience, have some public financial experience and be capable of communicating well with the public.  The candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering management or related field. A Pennsylvania Wastewater Operator’s Certification, Class A, E – 1, 2, and 4 or ability to obtain within two years of hire is required. Professional Engineer registration or an MBA are a plus.
