WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT OPERATOR

Milford Trumbauersville area Sewer Authority, located in Quakertown, PA, is seeking a full-time licensed PADEP wastewater plant operator – Class CE Subclass 1.

The Authority operates one activated sludge treatment plant, six pump stations, and the collections system.

Position Description:

The wastewater treatment plant operator position is responsible for the daily operations, maintenance, and repairs of the treatment plant, pump stations, and collections system to ensure efficient and safe operation. Duties include monitoring and maintaining the wastewater treatment system in accordance with regulatory standards and requirements.

The individual must be proficient with pump operations, laboratory equipment and instrumentation, chemical feed systems, solids dewatering, and control systems.

Must be proficient with the use of power and hand tools.  Must be able to work independently.

Valid PA driver’s license.

Must be able to work weekends and holidays and respond to emergency calls on a rotating schedule.

Must be capable of lifting and/or carrying 50 lbs or more, walking up and down stairs, climbing, and working in confined areas.

Experience with SCADA, GIS, and Microsoft Office is a plus.

Knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical, instrumentation, and plumbing is preferred.

Compensation is commensurate with wastewater experience.
